Each GP practice in England should have a PPG. At our surgery, we have a PPG that meets regularly with practice staff and representatives from the NHS.
The work of a PPG involves a range of initiatives, including:
PPGs enable patients to get involved with their GP practice and help to improve and shape local services. The group is made up of patients registered at the practice, and members of staff usually attend meetings. This means we can work together to make sure patients are put first and can influence any decisions that are made about healthcare and services.
Anyone can join the PPG here at Poundbury Doctors Surgery - you can email the group at poundburypatients@gmail.com or visit the group’s website.
